People with learning disabilities speaking up for themselves

Press play to listen to us in our own words

Leep1 is part of the larger organisation The Advonet Group.

Leep1 is a not-for-profit Community Interest Company which means all our money goes back into supporting adults with learning disabilities to live the lives they choose.

We are an organisation run by and for people with learning disabilities. We support our members to speak up for themselves and their community.

Our Vision

Our vision is to create a better life for people with learning disabilities so they are treated fairly, feel valued and can have the lives they choose.

Our Mission

Is to support people to have a voice and transform world attitudes towards people with learning disabilities.

Our Management Committee

Our members and The Advonet Group elect the management committee for Leep1 every year. Our service is run and managed by the people the service is for. We currently have around 50 members who all have different roles and have helped Leep1 to be the thriving organisation it is today.

We have a small but dedicated staff team at Leep1 who help support the members to choose and run activities at our centre on Roundhay Road. It is a fun and safe space where everybody feels welcome.
