Leep1 and Asking You! are running a new project. It is called LIFE. LIFE stands for Leep1 Inclusion for Employment.
This project aims to help adults with learning disabilities make their voices heard about employment.
What LIFE does
LIFE’s work includes:
- Training people with learning disabilities to become confident trainers.
- Co-delivering employment self-advocacy training.
- Developing self-advocacy resources for people with learning disabilities in employment. They will help people to speak up for themselves.
- Develop resources for employers to help them be better at working with people with learning disabilities.
Steering Group
LIFE has a Steering Group of people with learning disabilities. They will help make resources and tell us about their experiences of employment and looking for work.
The Steering Group will make sure our work is co-produced with people with learning disabilities. They will also make sure LIFE’s work is relevant to people with learning disabilities and as accessible as possible.
We will also look at the way Leep1, Asking You! and The Advonet Group works with people with learning disabilities. This will involve updating our policies and procedures, making sure our workplace is accessible as possible.
