Cafe Leep is a friendly community space for people to meet and enjoy a delicious and affordable menu.

Our food is freshly prepared by our amazing team of cafe trainees who we provide training placements for.

We work with adults with a learning disability who are supported to gain catering qualifications and find work or other roles if they feel ready.

Opening Hours: Monday–Friday, 9am–3pm

9am-2pm: Full Menu

2pm-3pm: Cold drinks and snacks only

Our Food

Cafe Menu

Our cafe offers a full breakfast menu and a hot and cold lunch menu. We are proud to be working with FareShare Yorkshire and do our bit to tackle food waste. Using surplus food provided by them we create delicious daily specials every day of the week.

Our café menu is currently available Monday to Friday 9am-2pm, with cold snacks and drinks available from 2pm-3pm. You may also call 0113 244 0606 for advanced orders to take away.

Catering

We offer a full catering service from simple sandwich platters, cakes and homemade hot dishes available for meetings, functions or events. If you would like to book our services, please contact our Cafe Manager Angie Marshall at [email protected].

What We Offer

Trainees

We have exciting opportunities for people with learning disabilities and/or autistic adults to join our Trainee programme. Our trainees help with every aspect of running the cafe. We support them to build their self confidence, skills and qualifications in Food Safety.

Cooking Group

We run cookery courses twice a week for adults with learning disabilities who enjoy cooking. The group help choose easy recipes that will enable you to cook at home and become more independent. These groups are a great way to learn important skills and make some friends!

Placements

We are proud to be working with several local businesses who support our trainees and provide work opportunities for them. If you are interested in becoming an employer who provides work placements for cafe trained adults with learning disabilities please get in touch.

NVQ Training

We are an approved Highfield Training Centre with an award winning tutor. We offer training courses for anyone wanting to gain their NVQ qualifications in order to work in the catering industry.
